12:43PM AUG 1 – MAN FOUND DECEASED IN BOAT IS IDENTIFIED – AS PER ESSEX CO DA: Investigators have identified the man found deceased in a sailboat that washed ashore at Lynch Park in Beverly yesterday as Alexander Sachs, 76, of Gloucester.  The sailboat, “Etoile” was registered to Mr. Sachs.  The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death but the initial investigation indicates that Mr. Sachs suffered a medical event while sailing.  No foul play is suspected at this time.

6:09PM THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY NOW SAYS THE DECEASED IS AN ELDERLY MAN THAT APPEARS TO HAVE DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES.

(BOSTON) JULY 31 – STATE POLICE IN THE TONY BOSTON SUBURB OF BEVERLY, MASSACHUSETTS ARE LOOKING INTO A DEATH THIS AFTERNOON THAT APPEARS TO HAVE ROLLED IN WITH THE TIDE. FOX NEWS RADIO’S BILL MARCUS HAS MORE.

POLICE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND ANY IDENTIFICATION ON THE MAN NOR ANY REGISTRATION MARKINGS ON THE BOAT.
